Details
I was the web Designer and developer for the admin and customer facing websites, as well as the primary lead email developer for all responsive templates. I created over 15 custom email templates from design to production using older HTML elements required for email development and inline css.
Responsibilities included:
- Created first responsive email template system to help attract more customers and offer something new for existing customers.
- Developed a design system using components that were triggered by hotkeys in the editor. Email development is hard, with this system anyone in the company to easily and quickly create email templates; effectively brought development time from days to a few hours.
- Personally designed, developed, and tested over 15 templates available to customers, each template came in three branded themes.
- Main designer and UI developer for continuous feature implementations and overall site maintenance.
- Worked with programmers using the CakePHP framework for the backend. Wrote documentation for entire R&D department so everyone could know how to make a custom email template for NewsMAIL, this included what classes to apply for TinyMCE to pull from and keyboard mapping for coding the templates.
